I've never read a book with the nuckelavee myself, which is a shame because it really would make a great villain! Perhaps it's just a little too gross and spooky haha
The book was Warning Call by Danny Bell. His series has a lot of neat lesser-known mythological references. I enjoyed it, though I haven’t finished the series yet. The nuckeleave was DEFINITELY a fantastic villain.
I'm a sucker for learning about more off the beaten track myth and folklore (if the newsletter didn't make that patently obvious) so I'm always keen to learn about series that feature that sort of thing! I'll have to give it a read ^_^
